Our default isn’t to send you through the hospital system when you need specialty care. Yes, the hospital system can usually give you the care you need, but it is also very expensive in most cases. Instead, our AFC team refers patients to nearby specialists when we can, which frequently yields the same high-quality care but typically at a lower cost. Additionally, you won’t even need to wait a long time for an appointment because we have solid relationships with many of our local specialty providers.
We always have a doctor available virtually. Many urgent care centers don’t have an on-site doctor, which is also true of us. What sets us apart, however, is that you’ll always be able to virtually consult with a doctor when you have questions.
Our staff turnover rate is low, and we promote from within. So many hospitals and ERs are chocked full of travel nurses right now. However, that’s not the cases with us. We hire locally and we work hard to keep around talent and provide a quality environment for our medical providers, which leads to low turnover and a long-tenured staff. As a result, you will grow familiar with our medical staff, which will make it simpler for you to feel at ease while receiving the high-quality care you need.
Our medical providers are skilled enough to keep you out of the ER in most scenarios. While it’s great that we care about our patients, caring isn’t enough when it comes to needing medical care—you also have to have skill and expertise, which our team does. We don’t hire medical care providers right out of school—we hire providers who have prior experience and skill working in an urgent and/or family care environment.
